The 5th draft of the cardboard coffin design is done. I think it is ready to take to the laser cutter but I will make another paper model in the next few days. There weren't many changes between DRAFT 004 and 005, mostly it was issues with labeling and some minor structural adjustments.

DRAFT 004

DRAFT 004 is almost a complete redesign of its predecessors. Using 26 sheets of 61x100cm cardboard, DRAFT 004 is estimated to hold a human body weighing up to 100KG.
After printing, cutting and assembling the paper-model it seems that, while there is a list of design modifications to make, the next version will be the final design and be ready for laser cutting and practical use at full scale.

Tests models for verification of different designs as well as the full scale models for DRAFT 002 & 003.

The second draft of the project requires more than 14 pieces of cardboard, each measuring 100cm x 61cm so that it can be cut on most laser cutting machines, but has some design flaws which need to be corrected.
